I was challenged by a dear friend Toshiko Hasegawa of mine to write a song about the eroticism of instruments based on a painting she'd shown me by artist Brenda Mendoza. I was given 7 days to write it and here it is :)
lyrics
If I could hold the neck of your guitar against my lips and make you resonate
Play chords along your breast, while my right hand, strums the rhythm below
Stoke you with my finger tips and palms, play percussion down your sides
Whatever you like, I'll play it right
I could spend eternity rehearsing every movement of your ballet
Play through every scale of your emotions, just so I learn the sound
Then move you through inversions, positions you just haven’t thought to try yet
Until your words glissando, your reach you apogee and then fall silent
Let’s Make Music
